The following information is to be completed by the applicant:
PLEASE PROVIDE INFORMATION ON YOUR ACTIVITIES IN THE PAST TWO YEARS
1. Describe your level of participation at school or in your community.*
I actively participated in various school and community events, demonstrating my commitment and excellence. In 2023, I represented my house in the annual quiz competition and the annual English debate, achieving respectable performances in both.
I also took part in several Olympiads, including the Kanjroo, Babras, and ISMO Math Olympiads, and participated in essay writing on the life of Quaid-e-Azam, with certificates attached as supporting documentation.
My involvement in Model United Nations conferences includes RIMUN 24, SIMC 23, and Sadiq MUN 23, where I was recognized with an Outstanding Delegate award (Sadiq MUN) and an Honourable Mention award (SIMC 23). Additionally, I competed in a moot court competition against university delegations, winning two rounds with leading points as a science student, competing against law students.
Academically, I achieved 4A* and 4A in my O Levels, with top grades in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, and Pakistan Studies, along with a gold medal for the best result in O Levels Computer Science. I also received straight As in my AS Level results. Throughout the academic year, I maintained excellent attendance.
2. Describe ways you have demonstrated leadership at school, at home, or in your community.
While my leadership roles have been few, they have been meaningful and impactful. In 2022, I served as the treasurer of the chess society at my school and organized a chess tournament that saw active participation from students across different grades.
In 2023-24, I served as the vice president of the chess society, where I collaborated with the president to plan and execute various activities, enhancing the overall chess culture within the school.
Additionally, I served as the Director of IT for an NGO called Care Club Organization, where I managed the organization's digital presence.
These roles have allowed me to develop my organizational, technical, and leadership skills, and work collaboratively with others to achieve our goals.
3. Describe how you demonstrate care and concern for those you live with- your family and friends or others in your community.
I actively demonstrate care and concern for my community through various initiatives. During a 2024 trip to Noor Mehal, I participated in a cleanup effort, where we cleaned the grounds and spread awareness among visitors about the importance of maintaining cleanliness. We also interviewed people to gather their opinions on the growing litter problem, further emphasizing the need for responsible behavior.
As part of the NGO Care Club Organization, I have also been involved in organizing food drives, helping to provide essential resources to those in need.
These experiences reflect my commitment to making a positive impact on those around me and contributing to the well-being of my community.
4. Do you participate in any clubs or community groups? *
I am actively involved in several clubs and community groups that reflect my interests and commitment to making a difference. I have been a key member of the chess society, serving as treasurer in 2022 and vice president in 2023-24.
Additionally, I am involved with the Care Club Organization, where I served as the Director of IT. I played a significant role in shaping the organization's digital presence by designing their logo and creating every post shared on their social media accounts. These efforts have helped the NGO effectively communicate its mission and engage with the community.
I also participated in the Sadiq Awareness Society, joining the 2024 Noor Mehal trip. During this trip, we cleaned the grounds, spread awareness among visitors about environmental responsibility, and conducted interviews to gather opinions on the growing litter problem.
In addition, I took part in the Science Exhibition held by the Science Society, where I built smart glasses for blind people that alert the user when an obstacle is too close. This project was notably appreciated by Governor Punjab Baligh ur Rehman, who visited the exhibition.
I also contributed to the Art Society's exhibition, showcasing four of my paintings. These paintings garnered significant appreciation, with some visitors expressing interest in purchasing them.
Furthermore, I achieved 1st position in the Swimming Gala 2023 for Iqbal House and participated as a student in a play about the APS attack.
These experiences highlight my active participation in various clubs and community groups, showcasing both my creative contributions and hands-on involvement.
5. Is there any other information you wish to provide to support your application for a Scholarship?
I would like to share a project that I have been passionately working on for the past year—a mobile application called PaperStack, which I developed from scratch for both A Levels and O Levels students. I personally designed and coded the app, ensuring it is free to use and contains no ads.
Paper Stack offers a range of features tailored to enhance the study experience for students. It provides easy accessibility to mark schemes, grade thresholds, and syllabus content. The app also boasts a user-friendly interface with options to switch between dark mode and light mode in the paper view. Additional features include recent paper access, paper filtering, the ability to download and share papers directly, and even a drawing tool for annotating papers. Furthermore, the app includes an MCQ solver that helps students check their answers.
This app has been well-received, with over 20,000 downloads and 10,000 active users. I believe that my school should recognize this project as a valuable service to the student community, as it directly supports their academic success and simplifies their exam preparation.
I am also working on other projects, including a Namaz timing app with a UI inspired by mosque clocks and a car simulator game in Unity 3D. Additionally, I contribute to open-source projects and make my work available freely to benefit the community.
