PLEASE PROVIDE INFORMATION ON YOUR ACTIVITIES IN THE PAST TWO YEARS
1. Describe your level of participation at school or in your community.*
I have been studying in this institute since P6 and have taken part in various activities.
I have participated in quizzes (e.g. IKSC, Literature quiz, spelling bee). Moreover i have represented Sadiq at the Beacon house Story Writing Competition. I also took part in Art Competitions such as HRSA and also got my paintings displayed at the Founder's Days Art Exhibitions twice. I took part in Swimming Gaala 2024. I also competed in inter-house elocution competition.
These are some of the activities i can recall taking part in.
2. Describe ways you have demonstrated leadership at school, at home, or in your community.
Being a leader is a skill that i gradually learnt as I participated in various group activities. For example in quiz competitions, I co-ordinated my team members and had to divide the work equally amongst us so that no one experiences unnecessary burden etc. Moreover, helping out my juniors with their paintings in for art exhibition also helped me learn the skill of leading.
3. Describe how you demonstrate care and concern for those you live with- your family and friends or others in your community.
Its in human nature to be concerned of those in his/her surroundings and they show it by various means.
I, for one beleive that we can perfectly show care for others by fulfilling the Hukook-ul-'Ibaad (rights of people) laid down by our religion, Islam. Because it includes even the tiniest of actions that should be done. Actions such as visiting the sick and motivating him, giving charity, abstaining from hard words etc.
Learning such teachings from Qur'aan and Sunnah and implementing them is a comprehensive way of demonstrating your care and concern for the people, animals etc. around you.
4. Do you participate in any clubs or community groups? *
No, i can't recall taking part in any School Club or Community Groups.
5. Is there any other information you wish to provide to support your application for a Scholarship?
Acknowledging the fact that academic achievements play a crucial role in deciding whether one gets scholarship. I would like to present a snapshot of mine.
I have been getiing top positions since I have joined this school and also received prizes for that on Founder's Days. Moreover, I got 8A* in O levels and recently got 4As in my AS level exams.
6. If successful in being awarded a Scholarship, how would you contribute to the Sadiq Community?
The best way a humble student like me can contribute and benefit his/her institution, is by working hard and harnessing all the opportunities the institution provides them to show their gratitude to it. And thereby being the best version of themselves to publicise its excellence to the world.
